Phil Jennings

HEAD TECHNICIAN

Phil Jennings brings to the Golf Science Centre a strong background in manufacturing and precision golf equipment building. He has been trained in the fields of mechanical hydraulics and manufacturing, having worked in these industry sectors prior to commencing as a golf equipment technician.

He commenced a career as head of production at a leading Australasian golf equipment assembly plant in 1993. Phil was in charge of all manufacturing and assembly procedures, and implemented new technology systems that have been since introduced into the golf industry; the most notable of these include the SST PURE shaft process.

Over the past five years Phil has nationally conducted education seminars for PGA professionals on golf equipment manufacturing and composition. These ‘Golf Science Days' have proved extremely popular and subsequently been integrated into workshops involving amateurs looking to appreciate correctly fitted and manufactured equipment.

Phil has been a golf enthusiast for over twenty years and currently plays off a handicap of ten. Amateur or professional players alike are amazed in viewing Phil's production process, seeing the level of precision and care taken with each club he builds.
